The Krav Maga (hand-to-hand combat in Hebrew) is an Israeli self-defense system that is considered to be the most effective system in the world.

At Krav Maga Mentality, we teach people how to act under the stress and shock of a sudden and dangerous attack to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

What makes Krav Maga so powerful is that it is designed for real-world problems, including dangerous attacks and threats, with a wide range of grips and chokes, attacks with various weapons, including bats, knives and guns, and dealing with multiple attackers.

To prepare ourselves as realistically as possible, we train in real scenarios and environments, and very often the training takes place outdoors, on stairs, parking lots, streets, vehicles and wherever an attack could take place. This gives students the ability to assess the environment, the lighting, the sound, the terrain, etc. All in order to be better prepared for an occasion that we hope will never be found in.

Above all, however, with Krav Maga we hope to teach students how to avoid violent confrontations. Yes, Krav Maga teaches explosive combat and defense skills, but most importantly it teaches students to be vigilant in their environment, and to know how to avoid potentially life-threatening situations.

Krav Maga is easy to learn because it uses someone’s reactions and reflexes. Students of all levels with zero combat experience can progress quickly to a level where they will feel able to deal with basic threat scenarios.

Krav Maga encourages students to improve their health, stamina and fitness so that they are better equipped to survive a physical confrontation.

Krav Maga is accessible to everyone, children, women, adults, even the elderly, because it teaches the basic principles of safety and self-defense and aims at the attacker’s vulnerabilities. But while Krav Maga is accessible to all, it is known for its effectiveness in the military, law enforcement, protection of high-ranking officials and VIP protection, sections that may need a more aggressive approach.
